Middlesex Community College technology students recently visited our factory in Billerica, MA. Peter Cronin, Director of Applications and Service taught the students about our MRSI-M3 3-micron die bonder. These students were interested in visiting MRSI to learn more about the semiconductor packaging industry and technology careers.

Facility Tour

This was a great opportunity for the students to learn about MRSI Systems and see daily operations at our facility. Highlights included how MRSI manufactures the systems on site, the applications team’s critical experience with programming MRSI systems, our world-class customer support team, and the importance of our detail oriented mechanical and electrical technicians.

Industry Overview

Peter provided a summary of the high-precision die bonding and epoxy dispensing industries and the demands of advanced packaging manufacturers. Students learned how MRSI machines can build various types of packages. He emphasized how MRSI makes high-precision die attach and epoxy dispensing systems, by using demand flow technology and total quality checks in the manufacturing process. Students were interested in learning about MRSI’s involvement with life sciences and data communications.

Overall it was a rewarding learning experience for the students. If you would like to visit our Billerica facility, please reach out to sales@mrsisystems.com to schedule an appointment.
