Jon Medernach manages Sales in the Eastern Region and has over 15 years of experience at MRSI and 34 years’ experience selling capital equipment.
Prior to MRSI, Jon worked with Panasonic Factory Automation selling high speed surface mount assembly equipment as well as die bonding and wire bonding systems. Before that, Jon was a Surface Mount Equipment Product Manager at Dynapert, a manufacturer of through hole assembly equipment and surface mount equipment.
Jon is a strong proponent of relationship selling and believes in the importance of customer advocacy within MRSI by providing the customer a voice. Jon exudes the MRSI core value of customer focus and the importance of customer centricity. As the vital component between the customer and engineering, he ensures the customer’s voice is always heard. With his extensive product and process knowledge, Jon is a vital evangelist for MRSI throughout the year attending tradeshows, symposia and engaging with customers throughout the Eastern Region.
IMAPS New England Chapter President
Jon is also an active member of the International Microelectronics Assembly and Packaging Society (IMAPS) and is the current IMAPS New England Chapter President. IMAPS is the largest society dedicated to the advancement and growth of microelectronics and electronics packaging technologies through professional education.
The New England Chapter is very active with six technical and social events throughout the year, as well as the annual Symposium and Expo each May. New England is the largest chapter in the entire IMAP society.
As IMAPS New England Chapter President, Jon and other dedicated volunteers are committed to continue to promote the Society’s goals. The New England Chapter of IMAPS has always stressed the importance of technical advancement and knowledge, along with having an enjoyable time. This combination is a key factor making the chapter unique and successful in the recruitment of quality leaders and new members, while making the meetings informative and stimulating.
Jon strongly believes in fulfilling the IMAPS mission. “IMAPS leads the Microelectronics Packaging, Interconnect and Assembly Community, providing means of communicating, educating and interacting at all levels.”
