Joining MRSI in 2016 as a Customer Support Engineer with over 20 years of experience with MRSI’s machines and applications experience, Jason was ready to assist customers from Day 1.
Deep Practical Experience
Customers of MRSI want to connect with a customer support team member with deep practical experience of our machines. Jason is a great example of a senior process engineer, who is able to leverage his knowledge to ensure customers achieve value.
Jason has many years of experience with electrical device and optical communication components, packaging processes, and new product introduction processes. That experience includes process development for Datacom/Telecom and High Power Laser applications with die bonding and epoxy dispensing systems.
Prior to MRSI, he has been fortunate to enjoy a wide variety of engineering roles making him ideal to diagnose customer challenges. These roles included project management in China transferring product lines from the US to China. Specifically, his product and service responsibilities have covered high reliable pump lasers for Submarine applications, pump lasers, modulators, Contract Manufacture site support, tunable lasers, 2.5G MiniDIL receivers, 10G Micro receiver, DWDM, Isolator, Polarization Maintaining devices, and Hybrid devices.
Process Knowledge
On the process side, in his role as an NPI development manager, at JDSU, Jason was part of the product development team in the US to coordinate with China to develop the packaging processes. Additionally, his resume includes experience with building automation components at Hygrotech, including PCB’s for electrical components and sourcing for electrical components, housing, and OEM suppliers for PCB.
In summary, from a customer’s perspective, Jason is able to clearly understand customers’ requirements, applications, and processes to enable them to be successful and to utilize their machines effectively from new product introduction to full production environments.
